Compose can power your meetup too
PublishedOne of our goals for 2016 is to support more developers and more developer communities. As organisers and leaders in those communities, we think the best way to do that is to help you. That includes getting out from behind our desks more this year; we will be sponsoring multiple GitHub events, RailsConf, GopherCon and several other events. If you haven't already claimed your Compose mascot tshirt, come out to see us at one of these events.
Of course, while these large, global events are wonderful, there are many times that number of events happening every day, everywhere, in the form of user group meetups. If you're running a group or participating in one and you're looking for a sponsor, try Compose.
We'd like to try something new this year by sponsoring user groups with pizza and beer money, swag, door prizes, hosting fees, whoopee cushions, or even Compose speakers. One of the big advantages of being a 100% remote-work company is that we have staff in 6 countries including Canada, UK, Germany, Japan, South Africa and across the US who can speak on topics ranging from database optimization to building database deployments at scale with containers.
Because sponsoring a large number of user groups is a new thing for us, we don't have pre-packaged notions of how much we can offer each user group per month or per year, but we'd love to hear from you on what your meetup needs are for sponsorship. So, if this sounds like something you may be interested in, email us at community@compose.io and let's work together to see how we can help you.
