It seems like all the Mongo conferences in North America are squeezed into the Spring, so after a great turnout for MongoDB Atlanta and MongoSF, our roadshow is rolling into New York for MongoNYC. Event planners said that this year’s registrations are double last year, which is amazing and shows the continued growth of the MongoDB community.
As with the larger Mongo events, there are a number of tracks that participants can take part in, so in all of that madness, we wanted to suggest a couple of talks that look really interesting. Check them out … I think you will learn a ton about MongoDB (and hopefully a bit about MongoHQ Mongo hosting, too).
Using MongoDB to Build Art.sy
A solid success story, the unique (and very fun to explore) Art.sy gives you a connection to artist and the art that they create using a special genome for art that the team created. The talented and well-spoken Daniel Doubrovkine will be sharing his experience moving from the relational world to MongoDB.
Advanced Concurrency Internals in MongoDB 2.2
Based on experiences with our customers, concurrency is one of the least understood characteristics of MongoDB. Dwight Merriman, CEO and co-founder of 10gen, shares an inside look at some of the critical improvements that are coming in MongoDB 2.2. Definitely worth attending this one.
The MongoHQ Team will be there, handing out shirts, stickers and a couple of Fitbits. Also, you can stop by and grab a sneak peek at some of the great new features we are working on. Should be fun, so please come by and say hello!
Special thanks to Kaysha for the photo of Times Square.
